After failing to score in their last matchup, Cinco Ranch made sure to put some goals up on the board against Katy on Friday. They walked away with a 4-2 win over the Katy Tigers. Given the Cougars' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 81st, while the Tigers are ranked 233rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Cinco Ranch hit Katy with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Andres Riera (2), Roan Bruinsma, and Sebastian Coburn.

Cinco Ranch has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 14 goals over those five games. As for Katy, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-8.
