Basketball Game Preview: Meadville Bulldogs vs. Cathedral Prep Ramblers

Meadville is 2-8 against Cathedral Prep since February of 2021 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Meadville Bulldogs will head out to square off against the Cathedral Prep Ramblers at 7:15 p.m. Meadville knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past 11 matchups -- so hopefully Cathedral Prep likes a good challenge.

Last Friday, Meadville didn't have quite enough to beat Grove City and fell 72-70.

Meanwhile, Cathedral Prep entered their contest against Archbishop Wood on Saturday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. Cathedral Prep was just a bucket shy of victory and fell 63-62 to Archbishop Wood.

Meadville's defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-2. As for Cathedral Prep, their loss ended a ten-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 8-7.

Meadville couldn't quite finish off Cathedral Prep in their previous meeting back in February of 2024 and fell 53-51. Thankfully for Meadville, Amaree Pickens (who went 9 of 14 on his way to 21 points and seven rebounds) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
