After a string of four wins, Durant's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They took a 12-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bloomingdale Bulls. If the Cougars were looking for revenge after losing 24-0 to the Bulls when the teams met back in March of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Lia Cobbs threw for 221 yards and one touchdown. Icyss Lopez was her top target, picking up 63 receiving yards and one TD.

A big part of Bloomingdale's win came down to the chemistry between Alexa (Lexi) Serniotti and her top target Danica Darby. Serniotti threw for 188 yards and a pair of TDs while Darby picked up 88 receiving yards and a pair of scores. The dominant performance also gave Serniotti a new career-high in rushing yards (85).

Durant's defeat dropped their record down to 7-4. As for Bloomingdale, they pushed their record up to 8-3 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Coming up, Durant will venture away from home to challenge George Jenkins at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. The Eagles will roll in looking for their tenth straight win, something the Cougars surely won't give up without a fight. As for Bloomingdale, they will square off against Gibbs at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Bulls 10.6, the Gladiators 7.5) so any points scored will be well earned.
