Soccer Game Preview: Pius X vs. Lincoln High

The Pius X Thunderbolts will venture away from home to challenge the Lincoln High Links at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Pius X is headed in fresh off scoring the most goals they have all season. They put the hurt on Standing Bear with a sharp 8-0 win on Monday. Maddox Miller was a massive factor in the win as he booted in three goals all by himself.

Meanwhile, Lincoln High's game on Saturday was all tied up 1-1 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They skirted past Bryan 2-1. Cody Storz had to tread lightly for part of the match after he was hit with a yellow card, but that was the only trouble Lincoln High got from the refs.

The victory made it two in a row for Pius X and bumps their season record up to 5-4. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored ten goals over those two games. As for Lincoln High, they now have a winning record of 4-3.
