Kokomo HomeSchool and Fort Wayne HomeSchool are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2020, but not for long. The Kokomo HomeSchool Eagles will be playing at home against the Fort Wayne HomeSchool Hawks at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday. Kokomo HomeSchool will be looking to keep their 11-game home win streak (dating back to last season) alive.
Kokomo HomeSchool scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They blew past Suburban Christian 91-60 at home. Kokomo HomeSchool has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine contests by 21 points or more this season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Kokomo HomeSchool to victory, but perhaps none more so than David Hart, who shot 4-for-8 from downtown and dropped a double-double on 21 points and ten rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Hart has scored all season. Dane Beery was another key contributor, scoring 19 points along with seven rebounds and five assists.
Fort Wayne HomeSchool aren't just finding sucess at home, as their game on Tuesday extended their overall winning streak to five. They slipped by Noble-Whitley Warriors 68-67. Given Fort Wayne HomeSchool's advantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 42nd, while Noble-Whitley Warriors is ranked 214th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Sam Newcomer continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 36 points along with eight rebounds and four steals. He is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down eight or more in the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Trevon Maley, who scored 13 points along with seven assists and seven rebounds.
Kokomo HomeSchool is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-10 record this season. As for Fort Wayne HomeSchool, their win bumped their record up to 17-2.
