Basketball Recap: Casey County Comes Up Short

Casey County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They lost 61-38 to the Cumberland County Panthers. While losing is never fun, the Rebels can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kentucky basketball rankings (they are ranked 167th, while the Panthers are ranked 39th).

Casey County's loss dropped their record down to 6-14. As for Cumberland County, they have been performing well recently as they've won 12 of their last 15 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 16-5 record this season.

Casey County has already played their next game (against Lexington Catholic), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Cumberland County will be playing in front of their home fans against Metcalfe County at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Cumberland County is coming into the contest hot, having won their last four games.
