Basketball Recap: Heritage Takes Loss Despite Strong Efforts from Taurean Brown and Landon Lybarger

Heritage lost against Norwell back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Heritage Patriots fell 53-41 to the Norwell Knights. The Patriots have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Heritage's loss came despite strong showings from Landon Lybarger and Taurean Brown. Lybarger posted 19 points, while Brown earned ten points and five rebounds. What's more, Brown also posted a 80% shooting accuracy, which is the highest he's posted since back in January of 2024.

Heritage's loss dropped their record down to 10-8. As for Norwell, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 10-8.

Coming up, Heritage will challenge Jay County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Heritage is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 53.9 points per game this season. As for Norwell, they will take on Huntington North at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Huntington North also hasn't been messing around on offense: they've averaged 59.5 points per game.
