Softball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Shepard

Shepard won the last time they faced Oak Lawn and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Astros walked away with an 8-3 win over the Spartans. Winning may never get old, but the Astros sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Shepard's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 21-4. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.7 runs over those games. As for Oak Lawn, with the loss, they broke their five-game winning streak and moved their record to 12-10.

Coming up, Shepard will venture away from home to face off against Thornton Fractional North at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Astros are facing the Meteors at the right time seeing as the Meteors are stuck on a 14-game losing streak. As for Oak Lawn, they will be playing at home against Oak Forest at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
