Challis has no trouble against Watersprings

Recap: Challis Vikings vs. Watersprings

The Challis Vikings won the last time they faced Watersprings, and things went their way on Saturday too. Challis strolled past Watersprings with points to spare, taking the game 43-24.

Despite the defeat, Watersprings had strong showings from Kaitlyn Syverson, who scored nine points along with ten rebounds and three steals, and Libby Grijalva, who scored seven points along with six rebounds and three blocks. That was a full 37.5% of Watersprings' points, marking the tenth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.

Challis is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 7-5 record this season. As for Watersprings, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-9.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Challis will take on Butte County at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Butte County has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Watersprings, they will play host again and welcome Grace Lutheran, where tip off is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Grace Lutheran's defense has only allowed 23.8 points per game this season, so Watersprings' offense will have their work cut out for them.
