Las Vegas came into Thursday's match looking for another win against Mater Academy East Las Vegas, but Yuliana Rivas wouldn't allow it. The Knights narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Wildcats 3-2 with plenty of help from Rivas, who had 16 assists and 12 digs. She has been hot recently, having posted 16 or more assists the last four times she's played.

Mater Academy East Las Vegas took Las Vegas into a fifth set where they got it done with a six-point win. The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-22, 18-25, 15-25, 15-9.

The victory made it two in a row for Mater Academy East Las Vegas and bumps their season record up to 13-17. As for Las Vegas, their defeat dropped their record down to 20-10.
