Baseball Game Preview: East Bernard Brahmas vs. Anderson-Shiro Fighting Owls

For the second straight game, East Bernard will face off against Anderson-Shiro. The Brahmas will square off against the Fighting Owls at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (East Bernard 3.7, Anderson-Shiro 4.1) so any runs scored will be well earned.

East Bernard is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. They had just enough and edged out Anderson-Shiro 5-4. The victory was some much needed relief for the Brahmas as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Max Mangum spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned (and two unearned) runs on five hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances.

At the plate, East Bernard let Ty Grigar and Jackson Garvel run wild. Grigar went 2-for-3 with two runs and one double, while Garvel went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and two RBI.

Anderson-Shiro has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 16-10 record this season. Even worse, they were so close so many times: the defeats came by an average of only one runs. As for East Bernard, their win bumped their record up to 25-5.
