Volleyball Recap: Westminster Christian Takes a Loss

If Westminster Christian was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Bayless on Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Wildcats took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lutheran South Lancers on Saturday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Wildcats of the 3-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Leading Lutheran South to victory were Cody Abbas and Nathan Green. Abbas had ten digs and four assists, while Green had three digs and one assist. That's the most assists Abbas has posted since back in April of 2024.

Westminster Christian has been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last nine games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-10 record this season. As for Lutheran South, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 11-6-2.

Westminster Christian wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Notre Dame on the 26th. As for Lutheran South, they have also already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against Warrenton on the 26th.
