Westwood can bid farewell to their seven-game losing streak thanks to their game on Friday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Corrigan-Camden Bulldogs, sneaking past 2-1. The win was all the more spectacular given the Panthers' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 489th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 235th).

Westwood's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-7. As for Corrigan-Camden, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-4.

Westwood will face off against Center at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Corrigan-Camden, they will square off against Bishop Gorman at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday.
