Basketball Game Preview: Bainbridge-Guilford Bobcats vs. Delaware Academy Bulldogs

The Bainbridge-Guilford Bobcats will square off against the Delaware Academy Bulldogs at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

Last Friday, Bainbridge-Guilford made easy work of Unadilla Valley and carried off a 54-30 victory. The Bobcats have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four matchups by 20 points or more this season.

Bainbridge-Guilford's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Jayslin Henderson, who went 6 for 14 on her way to 16 points in addition to eight rebounds and five steals, and Marissa Mayo, who posted 12 points in addition to six boards and three steals. Mayo is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last five games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jalyn Winans, who had eight points.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Delaware Academy). They blew past Oneonta 64-34 on Monday. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest win of the season.

Bainbridge-Guilford has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 32 points. As for Delaware Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 4-5.
