Baseball Recap: Fort Lauderdale Takes a Loss

After flying high against Stranahan last Monday, Fort Lauderdale came back down to earth. The Flying L's lost 11-2 to the Cooper City Cowboys on Wednesday. The defeat continues a trend for the Flying L's in their meetings with the Cowboys: they've now lost five in a row.

Fort Lauderdale saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Finn O'Brien, who scored a run while going 2-for-2.

Fort Lauderdale's loss dropped their record down to 6-13-1. As for Cooper City, they have been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-8 record this season.

Fort Lauderdale didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, an 11-3 defeat against Deerfield Beach on the 14th. As for Cooper City, they will square off against South Plantation at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
