Soccer Game Preview: Smoky Mountain vs. Tuscola

The Smoky Mountain Mustangs will venture away from home to face off against the Tuscola Mountaineers at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Smoky Mountain is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3.4 goals per game this season.

Smoky Mountain's defense heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Monday. They had just enough and edged out Franklin 1-0. Smoky Mountain's winning goal came courtesy of Angela Gonzalez.

Meanwhile, Tuscola waltzed into their contest on Monday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They put the hurt on the Bears with a sharp 6-2 win. Tuscola might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five games by three goals or more this season.

Tuscola's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-4. Those road wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 14 goals over those three matchups. As for Smoky Mountain, their victory bumped their record up to 10-3.
