Softball Recap: Sherman Gets the Win

Sherman took a nine-run loss the last time they faced off against Wahama, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Tide narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the White Falcons 7-6. This was a revenge game for the Tide: when they faced off against the White Falcons on Monday, they had to take a 9-0 defeat.

Carter Plantz was incredible, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with one home run and two runs. That's the most runs she has posted since back in April. Lexie Lowe was another key player, going 3-for-4 with two RBI and one double.

Sherman pushed their record up to 18-12 with the win, which was their third straight at home. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of one runs across that stretch. As for Wahama, their loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 26-6.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the White Falcons beat Sherman by a score of 10-7 on Friday.
