Basketball Recap: Christian Educational Consortium Comes Up Short

Christian Educational Consortium was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were four points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 54-50 heartbreaker at the hands of the Christian Academy-Louisville Centurions. The match was a 22-22 toss-up at halftime, but the Cougars couldn't quite close it out.

Defeat or not, Christian Educational Consortium got some senior leadership from Jack Patterson and Deven Moore. Patterson went 5 for 6 en route to 12 points and seven boards, while Moore went 6 of 11 on his way to 15 points. Another player making a difference was Hunter Fleming, who posted eight points along with six rebounds and four steals.

Christian Educational Consortium's loss dropped their record down to 11-6. As for Christian Academy-Louisville, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-6.

Christian Educational Consortium wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 63-62 defeat against Holy Cross on the 14th. Christian Academy-Louisville has also already played their next contest, a 95-60 loss against St. Xavier on the 14th.
