While Granada put up some runs on Friday, the same can't be said for California. Granada came out on top in a nail-biter against California, sneaking past 1-0. The Matadors have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Grizzlies, too.

Granada got a great performance from Alex Piscotty as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out nine over 6.2 innings pitched. Piscotty has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up a single earned run any time he's pitched this season.

The win made it two in a row for Granada and bumps their season record up to 7-2. As for California, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Granada will square off against Pittsburg at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Pittsburg will roll in looking for their 12th straight victory, something Granada surely won't give up without a fight. As for California, they will challenge Foothill at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Foothill's pitching crew has only allowed 1.9 runs per game this season, so California's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
