Basketball Recap: Rank Disadvantage No Problem for Crowley

Crowley won the last time they faced Beau Chene and things went their way on Thursday too. The Crowley Gent secured a 58-52 W over the Beau Chene Gators. The victory was all the more spectacular given the Gent's disadvantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 214th, while the Gators are ranked 64th).

Crowley is also on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 13-11 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.8 points per game. As for Beau Chene, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 12-12.

Crowley won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Opelousas Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Crowley's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last four games. As for Beau Chene, they will take on Livonia at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
