Baseball Recap: West York Area Takes a Loss

West York Area has relied on a stalwart pitchers averaging 2.81 runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Thursday. They lost 11-2 to the Northeastern Bobcats. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Bulldogs of the 21-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2024.

West York Area's defeat dropped their record down to 13-8. As for Northeastern, the win (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 13-6.

Looking ahead, West York Area will head out to face off against South Western at 4:15 p.m. on Monday. The Bulldogs are facing the Mustangs at the right time seeing as the Mustangs are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Northeastern, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 9-1 victory against Kennard-Dale on the 10th.
