Soccer Game Preview: Pilot Point vs. Celina

Pilot Point is 0-3 against Celina since February of 2024 but things could change on Tuesday. A feisty cat fight will be fought as the Pilot Point face off against the Celina at 7:15 p.m.

Pilot Point is headed into Tuesday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their 13th straight game on Friday. They lost 3-0 to Aubrey. The game was up for grabs at halftime, but sadly the Bearcats struggled afterwards.

Meanwhile, Celina entered their tilt with Gainesville on Friday with 14 consecutive wins , and they'll enter their next game with 15. They never let the Leopards get on the board and left with a 5-0 victory. Considering the Bobcats have won 15 contests by more than two goals this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

They hit Gainesville with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Sammy Quiroz (2), Olivia Cotten, Harper Castillo, and Hannah Holland.

Celina's win was their 12th straight at home, which pushed their record up to 18-1. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those 12 matches. As for Pilot Point, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-15.

Pilot Point might still be hurting after the 8-0 loss they got from Celina in their previous matchup back in February. Can Pilot Point avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
