Basketball Game Preview: Longview Lobos vs. Rockwall Yellowjackets

Longview is 1-7 against Rockwall since December of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Longview Lobos will be playing at home against the Rockwall Yellowjackets at 6:30 p.m. Longview will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak.

Last Tuesday, Longview was able to grind out a solid victory over Whitehouse, taking the game 50-43. Given the Lobos' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 69th, while the Wildcats are ranked 294th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, after a string of four wins, Rockwall's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They took a 41-37 hit to the loss column at the hands of Royse City. The Yellowjackets were up 26-9 in the second quarter but couldn't hold on to the lead.

Rockwall's loss dropped their record down to 10-9. As for Longview, they pushed their record up to 12-1 with the win, which was their third straight on the road.
