Baseball Recap: Gulf Breeze Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Gulf Breeze can now relate to. They lost 13-4 to the Chiles Timberwolves on Thursday. The Dolphins were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Timberwolves earlier this season, when they won 5-4.

Tommy Regan made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with two doubles. Boston Hanna also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Gulf Breeze has been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 16-11 record this season. As for Chiles, their victory bumped their record up to 16-12.

While Gulf Breeze had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday.
