Football Recap: Washington County's Undefeated Season over After Three Games

Washington County and Marion County pushed the score to 49-23 the last time they played Marion County, but on Friday defenses reigned supreme. The Commanders received a blow as they fell 19-0 to the Knights. Having soared to a lofty 34 points in the game before, the Commanders' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Having lost for the first time this season, Washington County fell to 2-1. As for Marion County, they now also have a winning record of 2-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Washington County will face off against Western Hills at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Marion County, they will square off against W.E.B. DuBois Academy at 8:30 p.m. on Thursday.
