Cathedral Prep and Central Valley squared off in some playoff action on Monday, but Cathedral Prep had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Warriors by a score of 3-2. The Ramblers' defeat signaled the end of their seven-game winning streak.

Cathedral Prep saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was KJ Williams, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

Cathedral Prep's loss dropped their record down to 17-6. As for Central Valley, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-11 record this season.

Cathedral Prep does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Central Valley, they will square off against Indiana on Thursday. The Little Indians will roll in looking for their tenth straight win, something the Warriors surely won't give up without a fight.
