Softball Recap: Banks Takes a Loss

After a string of three wins, Banks's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They lost 8-2 to the Dayton Pirates. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Braves have suffered since March 29th.

Brooklyn Evans made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with one home run, one stolen base, and one double.

Banks' loss dropped their record down to 12-8-1. As for Dayton, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-3 record this season.

Banks is taking a road trip to square off against Scappoose at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Indians' pitching crew has only allowed 2.8 runs per game this season, so the Braves' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Dayton, they will be playing at home against Douglas at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
