Basketball Recap: Make It Two in a Row for Madison

Madison won the last time they faced Lakeside, and Knolan Albert did his part to make sure it happened again. The Madison Blue Streaks blew past the Lakeside Dragons 77-52 on Friday thanks in part to Albert, who went 7 of 9 en route to 17 points and five steals. He has become a key player for Madison: the team is 7-3 when he posts at least five steals, but 1-2 otherwise.

Landon Tomco was another key player, going 5 for 7 on his way to 11 points and four steals. Those four steals gave him a new career-high.

The victory made it two in a row for Madison and bumps their season record up to 8-5. As for Lakeside, they dropped their record down to 1-11 with the defeat, which was their sixth straight on the road.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Madison will face off against Beachwood at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Lakeside, they will challenge Pymatuning Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Pymatuning Valley knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past seven matchups -- so hopefully Lakeside likes a good challenge.
