Soccer Game Preview: Gloucester vs. Bethel

The Gloucester Dukes will square off against the Bethel Bruins at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Bethel took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Gloucester, who comes in off a win.

Gloucester took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They never let New Kent get on the board and left with an 8-0 victory. Considering Gloucester have won seven contests by more than two goals this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Meanwhile, Bethel fell victim to Kecoughtan and their airtight defense on Tuesday. They lost 4-0 to the Warriors. That's two games in a row now that Bethel have lost by exactly four goals.

Gloucester's win was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-1. Those home victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up three goals over those seven matchups. As for Bethel, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's still a better percentage than their 2-8-1 record this season.
