Volleyball Game Preview: Buffalo Grove Bison vs. Fremd Vikings

The Buffalo Grove Bison are taking a road trip to take on the Fremd Vikings at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Buffalo Grove is coming into the contest on a four-game losing streak.

On Tuesday, Buffalo Grove didn't have quite enough to beat Barrington and fell 2-1.

Buffalo Grove started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last two. The match finished with set scores of 23-25, 28-26, 25-13.

Meanwhile, Fremd beat Rolling Meadows 2-0 on Tuesday. The Vikings haven't had any issues with the Mustangs recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Fremd not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Rolling Meadows between 16 and 18 points across their sets. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-18.

Buffalo Grove's loss dropped their record down to 12-14. As for Fremd, their win bumped their record up to 24-7.

Buffalo Grove came out on top in a nail-biter against Fremd when the teams last played back in September, sneaking past 2-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bison since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
