Basketball Recap: Canyon Ridge Comes Up Short

Canyon Ridge was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They took a 46-38 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Highland Rams. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Riverhawks this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 50-45 on January 7th.

When it comes to explaining why Canyon Ridge lost, don't look at Mason Hill. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double on ten points and 12 boards. Hill has been hot, having posted eight or more rebounds the last six times he's played. Kade McEntire was another key player, putting up 12 points.

Canyon Ridge's defeat dropped their record down to 5-11. As for Highland, their win ended a six-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 5-10.

Canyon Ridge has already played their next matchup (against Jerome), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Highland will be playing in front of their home fans against Rigby at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
