Baseball Recap: Morristown-Hamblen East Snaps Five-Game Streak of Losses on the Road

Morristown-Hamblen East's game on Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They were the clear victors by a 10-4 margin over the Cherokee Chiefs. The matchup marked the Hurricanes' most dominant win of the season.

Parker Setsor made a splash while hitting and pitching. He tossed 4.1 innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits. Setsor was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. Those two runs gave him a new career-high.

Setsor wasn't the only one making solid contact as six players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Isaac Greene, who went 4-for-5 with two stolen bases, four RBI, and two runs. Those four hits gave Greene a new career-high. Another was Luke Miracle, who scored two runs while going 1-for-4.

Morristown-Hamblen East was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .387. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

Morristown-Hamblen East's victory ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 4-11-1. As for Cherokee, they now have a losing record of 8-9.
