Basketball Game Preview: Elizabeth Bulldogs vs. Hicks Pirates

The Elizabeth Bulldogs will take on the Hicks Pirates at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Elizabeth knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past three games -- so hopefully Hicks likes a good challenge.

Last Monday, Elizabeth came up short against Georgetown and fell 77-69.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Hicks, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They secured a 46-41 W over Fairview on Tuesday.

Elizabeth has also been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-12 record this season. That patch can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.5 points per game. As for Hicks, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 29-9 record this season.

Elizabeth didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Hicks when the teams last played back in January of 2024, but they still walked away with a 41-37 win. Does Elizabeth have another victory up their sleeve, or will Hicks turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
