Basketball Game Preview: Space Coast Vipers vs. Rockledge Raiders

Space Coast hasn't had much luck against Rockledge recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Space Coast Vipers will face off against the Rockledge Raiders at 5:30 p.m.

Space Coast is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They fell just short of University by a score of 53-50 on Wednesday. The Vipers' defeat continues a trend for the team, making it six in a row.

Meanwhile, Rockledge strolled past Palm Bay with points to spare on Wednesday, taking the game 64-45. The Raiders pushed the score to 46-25 by the end of the third, a deficit the Pirates cut but never quite recovered from.

Rockledge has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 11-6 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.3 points per game. As for Space Coast, their loss dropped their record down to 1-12.

Space Coast took a serious blow against Rockledge in their previous meeting back in December of 2022, falling 87-38. Can Space Coast avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
