Silverado had already won six in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 13 runs) and they went ahead and made it seven on Saturday. Everything went their way against the Sierra Vista Mountain Lions as they made off with an 8-1 victory. While the Skyhawks didn't have the best season last year (they finished 4-17), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Silverado's win bumped their record up to 8-2. As for Sierra Vista, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-3.

Silverado will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Southeast Career Tech at 3:30 p.m. on the 24th. The Skyhawks' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Roadrunners have averaged an impressive 8.9 runs per game this season. Sierra Vista has already played their next game (against Canyon Springs), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
