Balmorhea is a perfect 7-0 against Sierra Blanca since October of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Bears are taking a road trip to face off against the Vaqueros at 6:30 p.m. Balmorhea knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 31 points or more in their past six matchups -- so hopefully Sierra Blanca likes a good challenge.

On Friday, everything came up roses for Balmorhea against Fort Davis as the team secured a 58-6 victory. Fans of the Bears have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 20+ points.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Sierra Blanca). They came out on top against Sanderson by a score of 52-45 on Friday. Surprisingly, this marked the Vaqueros' fourth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.

Balmorhea's win bumped their record up to 6-0. As for Sierra Blanca, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-5.

Everything came up roses for Balmorhea against Sierra Blanca in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, as the squad secured a 51-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bears since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
