Lincoln-Way East extended the longest winning streak in Southwest Suburban - Blue this week by beating Sandburg, 28-7. The victory was the fifth in a row for the Griffins.
Joliet made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 11,359 from 11,731. The advance stemmed from a 21-3 victory over the Steelmen last week.
The marquee game in the league this week will be the clash between Lincoln-Way East and Bolingbrook. Rob Zvonar's team enters the contest ranked second in the state, while the Raiders ranks sixth.
Bolingbrook led the league in scoring this week after putting up 45 points on Homewood-Flossmoor.
