Volleyball Recap: East Duplin Beats Pender for Their 12th Straight Win + How To Watch

East Duplin had already won 11 in a row and they went ahead and made it 12 on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Pender Patriots. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 back in September.

East Duplin never let Pender on the board, but things got pretty close in the first set. The final score came out to 25-22, 25-17, 25-20.

Zoe Cavenaugh paced East Duplin's offense, picking up nine kills. Cavenaugh got some help from Kinsey Cave and her 12 assists. Cave was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Despite the loss, Pender still got an impressive performance from Charleigh Rivenbark, who had 13 digs, four aces, and two blocks. Rivenbark is on a roll when it comes to aces, as she's now served two or more in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Jensen Bordeaux, who had 11 digs and two aces.

East Duplin's record is now 19-2. As for Pender, their loss was their fifth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 5-16.
