Hazel Park won the last time they faced Eastpointe and things went their way  on Wednesday too. The Vikings blew past the Shamrocks 22-2. Considering the Vikings have won eight matches by more than 12  runs this season, Wednesday's  blowout was nothing new.
 Madison Platt (2027) made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She  tossed three innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   one  hit. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in five consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box,  getting on base  in two of her four plate appearances with two  runs and one  stolen base.
 In other batting news, Hazel Park got a  massive  performance out of  La'Onna Otis (2027), who  went 2-for-3 with six  stolen bases, three  runs,  and two  RBI. Otis (2027) is  on a roll when it comes to  stolen bases, as she's  now  snagged  at least one in each of the last eight games she's  played.  Maddie Meade (2027) was another key player,  getting on base  in all four of her plate appearances with five  stolen bases, four  runs,  and one  RBI.
The  victory made it two in a row for Hazel Park and  bumps their season record up to 8-10. The  wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 19.5 runs over those games. As for Eastpointe,  they are  on  a  six-game losing streak  (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.
 We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Hazel Park is set to  square off against  their familiar foe Madison  at 4:30  p.m.  on Friday. Meanwhile, Eastpointe will  face off against  rival Fitzgerald  at 4:30  p.m.  on Friday.
