Pope came into Tuesday's game looking for another win against Lassiter, but Sophie Hortman wouldn't allow it. The Lassiter Trojans snuck past the Pope Greyhounds with a 62-58 victory on Tuesday thanks to Hortman, who went 8-for-14 to rack up 30 points and three steals. She is becoming a predictor of Lassiter's success: when she posts at least 15 points the team is 4-1 (and 7-13 when she doesn't).

Lassiter has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a massive bump to their 11-14 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.8 points over those games. As for Pope, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 19-7.

Lassiter didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 48-25 defeat against Creekview on the 12th. Pope does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
