Soccer Game Preview: Mineral Ridge vs. Newton Falls

The Mineral Ridge Rams are taking a road trip to take on the Newton Falls Tigers at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.

On Tuesday, Mineral Ridge and Lordstown finished up on equal footing with a 1-1 draw.

Meanwhile, Newton Falls waltzed into their matchup two weeks ago with two straight wins... but they left with three. They put the hurt on the Ravens with a sharp 6-1 victory. Considering Newton Falls have won seven matches by more than two goals this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

They hit Ravenna with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Leland Vargo (4), Carter Drake, and Brady Lampman.

Newton Falls' win bumped their record up to 8-4-1. Mineral Ridge's draw gives them a new season record of 8-2-2.
