Baseball Recap: Halstead Takes a Loss

After flying high against Nickerson last Tuesday, Halstead came back down to earth. The Dragons came up short against the Haven Wildcats on Friday, falling 10-2. The Dragons haven't had much luck with the Wildcats recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Halstead saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Noah Diehl, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-3. Diehl has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last six times he's played.

Halstead's defeat dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Haven, the victory keeps they at an undefeated 7-0.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Wildcats beat Halstead by a score of 10-2 later that day.
