De Kalb and Queen City are an even 5-5 against one another since September of 2021, but not for long. The Bears are taking a road trip to challenge the Bulldogs at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

De Kalb will head out to face Queen City after giving up their first home loss of the season on Friday. The Bears fell just short of Hooks by a score of 3-2. While the Bears didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Hornets 25-19 in the first set.

De Kalb wouldn't go down easily and took Hooks into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking three-point loss. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 19-25, 25-19, 25-14, 12-25, 15-12.

Meanwhile, Queen City entered their tilt with Atlanta on Friday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against the Rabbits.

Queen City's victory bumped their record up to 9-11. As for De Kalb, their defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 6-1 and their overall record down to 20-11.

De Kalb came out on top in a nail-biter against Queen City when the teams last played back in September, sneaking past 3-2. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bears since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
