Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Muhlenberg County). They strolled past the Trigg County Wildcats with points to spare on Thursday, taking the game 63-48. The Mustangs have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Wildcats, too.

Muhlenberg County got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Izzy Wilkins out in front who dropped a double-double on 20 points and ten rebounds. Wilkins' evening made it five games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Taylor Wilkins, who dropped a double-double on 23 points and ten boards.

Muhlenberg County was working as a unit and finished the game with 14 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in December of 2024.

With the victory, Muhlenberg County broke their six-game losing streak and moved their record to 5-18. As for Trigg County, they dropped their record down to 4-13 with the loss, which was their seventh straight on the road.

Muhlenberg County will challenge Grayson County at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Trigg County, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Hopkinsville at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
