Softball Recap: Franklin Community's Winning Streak Snapped at Four Games

It was a good run, but Franklin Community unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Saturday. They fell just short of the Cascade Cadets by a score of 9-8.

Aubrey Leugers made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Addie Martin, who went 3-for-5 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.

Franklin Community's defeat dropped their record down to 8-6. As for Cascade, their victory was their 16th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 9-5.

Coming up, Franklin Community will face off against McCutcheon at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Cascade, they will challenge Franklin Central at 12:45 p.m. on Saturday.
