Volleyball Recap: Shelley Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Shelley can now relate to. They fell 3-1 to the Hillcrest Knights on Saturday. The Russets haven't had much luck with the Knights recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

When it comes to explaining why Shelley lost, don't look at Ashtyn Davis. Despite the final result, she had 25 digs and two assists. Davis has been hot for a while, having posted 11 or more digs the last 18 times she's played.

Shelley's loss dropped their record down to 28-10. As for Hillcrest, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 29-6 record this season.

As of now, neither Shelley nor Hillcrest have any future games scheduled.
