Troy had already won 15 in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9.8 runs) and they went ahead and made it 16 on Friday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand West a 9-0 shutout. Considering Troy has won 15 contests by more than seven runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Troy's victory was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 25-2. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for West, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 13-9-1.
