Basketball Recap: Centennial Triumphs

Centennial posted their closest victory since November 16, 2024 on Saturday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Joshua Owls 55-52. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 58-55 back in November of 2024.

Centennial is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a massive bump to their 12-14 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.5 points per game. As for Joshua, their loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 14-14.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Centennial will welcome Burleson at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Joshua, they will be playing at home against Everman at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Everman will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Joshua surely won't give up without a fight.
