Johnson has gone 8-2 against Valley recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Warriors will look to defend their home field against the Vikings at 4:00 p.m. After the two teams made easy work of their previous opponents, one won't be so lucky on Friday.
Valley will face off against a team with plenty of momentum: Johnson extended their winning streak to three on Thursday. The Warriors were the clear victors by a 16-1 margin over Foothill. Considering the Warriors have won six contests by more than nine runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.
Anissa Zavala made a splash no matter where she played. She struck out seven batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits (and only one walk). She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one walk in four consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with five stolen bases, three runs, and one double.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Valley). They put the hurt on Burbank with a sharp 24-10 victory on Wednesday. Surprisingly, this marked the fifth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor in this series.
Valley's win was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-4 and their overall record up to 2-9. As for Johnson, the victory got them back to even at 9-9.
Johnson got the 'W' in their previous matchup back in May of 2025 against Valley by a conclusive 21-0 score. Do the Warriors have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Vikings turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
