After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Carmel, Huntland was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They blew past Middle Tennessee Monarchs 9-1. The Hornets' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Eli Fitch spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on one hit.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Grant Jernigan, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4. What's more, he posted two RBI, the most he's had since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Carson Riley, who scored two runs while going 3-for-4.

Huntland was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .424. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Middle Tennessee Monarchs only posted a batting average of .045.
